Our Story

Back in 1995 Moshe Fhima arrived in Belarus on the back of a friend’s recommendation to visit the country, after many years of study in the United Kingdom. In the year 2000 Moshe travelled to Belarus and was looking for good investments in this emerging country. Moshe saw huge business opportunities and great challenges on his first trip to Belarus and this inspired him to settle in the country on a part time basis to explore business opportunities further and find out how difficult it was for a foreigner to do business in Belarus. Moshe faced great challenges in his first few years in Belarus and one major flaw he noticed was the lack of available trustworthy experts that one could engage to help with the understanding of laws and regulations. This is where the idea for this business and website Star PM came from. Moshe’s main challenge was the lack of clear and concise information. For example when he evaluated a business opportunity in other countries he had a set checklist to tick of the advantages and disadvantages of going ahead. In Belarus Moshe had to develop his vital information checklist from scratch. After 8 years of being successful in Belarus. Moshe now feels he has the ability and the knowledge to screen good investments and offer opportunities to other investors looking to invest in Belarus. If this service had been on offer around 9 years ago when Moshe first arrived in Belarus he would have taken the opportunity of obtaining sound advice and help, no question about it. Star PM was set up together with its professional team in order to address this need.
